I love the sound of Charles Kuralt's voice. He tells of Christmas stories from his travels, and of his memoriable Christmas as a five year old in 1939. He wishes every child had at least one Christmas like the one he had at that age. He starts off his stories in a war zone. He tells of poor families in coal a minning town. Another Christmas was in Williamsburg, where they always celebrate in the old fashioned way, like the founders. He tells of a former shepherd, who spends all year mending and making toys for poor children. His wife makes clothes for the dolls he mends.
