Now, I'll be the first to admit, I have read no other books in the Lemony Snicket line, but I don't find it much of a loss. The style of writing is playful and unusual which are good things to stretch an author and readers muscles alike, but it also tends to get quite annoying after awhile. I was glad when I could put this one down.
