On what is an otherwise normal morning in 1958, Luke Lucas wakes up on the floor of a public bathroom in Washington, D.C.'s Union Station wearing a bum's clothing and with absolutely no memory of anything before that point in his life. However, as he starts to piece his life back together, he discovers that he is a rocket physicist who is working on the launch of the U.S.'s first satellite that is scheduled to occur in about 36 hours. He also finds that he is being followed by the CIA and he must discover what secrets his scrambled brain holds that makes him a target. Very intense book that moves quite fluidly. However, I was hoping that there might be more of a twist to the ending. When you have a cool amnesia-rooted spy tale like this, you really need to make sure the double crosses abound.
