I'm certainly not as intrigued by Megan Chase as I am by Chess in the Downside series. Don't like the hero much, so far. The villains are not AS scary, either, but since this is more paranormal romance than paranormal scare the bejesus out of you, I think that's the point. The first half of this book was kind of slow I was very irritated by the halfway confessions which were interrupted by demon attacks. Even though I could see the purpose for them by the second half, it was distracting and annoying.

I did warm up to the book, though, especially the Misters Brown. Drag-mother demons and odd uncles all wrapped up into fussbudget killing machines. Who could resist them and their behorned heads?
