I had zero desire to read Where She Went...I didn't know it was a follow-up to this book, I didn't even know If I Stay existed. I saw it at Target and picked it up as a gift. That's the first time I read the description. Then I had to read it. And now I have to read Where She Went (even though I think that this ends perfectly and didn't require a sequel).
Apparently, I'm meant to read and love every sad YA novel that exists. I mean, seriously, let's add this to the list of superb YA books that have made me SOB this year. I'm talking for real uncontrollable, like it's happening to me crying.
