I liked this one better than I thought I would (and more than her other novel, "Joy for Beginners"). The format and premise is pretty average- it centers around a cooking school and the 8 people who come together to take the classes. Each chapter focuses is told from the perspective of one of the attendees. Over many months they develop deep relationships, as well as appreciation for the food they prepare. It's not anything earth-shattering, but the author does a pretty decent job of bringing some authenticity and depth to the characters. Quick, easy read.
