Very descriptive book, took me awhile to read because of it. The man represents the essence of our humanity (our desires/frailty). We struggle and struggle for what we desire(the fish) but in the end, it is the journey (or the exploration of our humanity) which brings us the greatest reward. This book represents life, human struggle, achievement and fulfillment.
