I'm about 30 pages in so far, and this book blows! I'm going to try and finish it out of spite, but I just think Virginia Woolf is a terible author. I just don't get it, it almost feels like I'm trying to use a piece of exercise equipment the wrong way and I'm just hurting myself. For such a noteworthy writer, I've never made it through one of her books. I'll be persistent on this one, though. Maybe you have to make it all the way to the end for the big payoff, you know, like "The Usual Suspects". Ooooh, I get it now, the Lighthouse represents Kaiser Soze. Hunh?
Update: Just read a sentce that was 9 lines long and contained the following punctuation: 1 colon, 2 semi-colons, 9 comas, and one period. What the hell?! Break it up a bit, lady! It's like the author is defying me to like this god damned book.
