** spoiler alert ** I decide to read this book when I finished beautiful disaster. I loved that book and wanted to read more McGuire storys. So when I read some reviews about this book I already knew that it wasn't so good as beautiful disaster, but still good. Well what I didn't know was that for a moment I would feel like reading twilight all over again, but with angels istead of vampires with all that triangle thing going on. And I thought "oh god I can't deal with this again" I loved twiliht very much, but that triangle think was painful. Thank God McGuire found her own way and changed everything. There was still unecessary things going on (like her breaking up with him) I dind't got the point of that. Her reasons was ridiculous, they suffered for nothing.
Jared is so sweet, and to be honest he remind me a lot of Edward. And Nina remind me of Bella too, specially with her fellings for Jared and Ryan.
Well but talking about just this story, i found it good. The angel mitology was good, but at the same time, i never really though that we were reading about angels, hybris or whatever... Jared and Claire life style looked so human for me that i kept forgeting they were half angels. Which I really liked btw. Because the book had supernatural things going on, but also felt real at the same time. I like that McGuire writs about young people, older than that high school kids that everybody writs about. I'm looking foward to read requiem. Nina and Jared has a beautiful relationship. I loved that they're going to get maried. And God knows what more... good book!
