Having finished a book on the way to work I had failed to arrange my next choice. So I picked this up as a short term gap.

It has some interesting short reviews of classic films and offers some different persepctives on the "goggle box", but a lot of it is the same old views trotted out by people at parties.

Kevin Eldon's assessment of Supercar as being best left as a happy memory certainly struck a chord with me - not Supercar particularly, but revisting childhood favourites can often leave you dispappointed.

Sometimes the memories are better than the reality.

In short there are some nice moments in the book, but a lot of dross too. besides I feel I may have been slightly over generous with my stars in 2011, and this will help to redress the balance.
