These book have been a favorite of mine since my first year in college. They quickly became my favorite books and each year I look forward to June so I can get my "fix". Imagine my surprise when I found this book early at the grocery store, I called in sick to work just to read it. I was disappointed with Lean Mean Thirteen last year but I stuck with the her because everyone is entitled to an off year and I knew she had a lot on her plate with her daughter's wedding, etc. I refused to believe the series I loved was going downhill or that she didn't care about her characters or her fans like she used to. I was wrong and this book proves it. All of the characters I love but one were made irredeemable and unlikable even Stephanie. The one character who didn't get assassinated was Ranger and that's only because he wasn't in this book except for a few lines in phone calls, but I assume he's next up to the chopping block which makes me very sad. I feel ashamed and sorry for all the people I told about this series and encouraged to start reading them because they will be as disappointed as I am. I won't recommend any of these books after reading this one because anyone who starts will be let down in the end.
