Zen in the Art of Faking it is a book about a 8th grade boy that has to move to a different state because of his dads new job.And Zen does not like being the new kid at school. His first day does not go so good because when he goes to science he slips and falls right in front of the most prettiest girl in the school.Everyone starts laughing besides that one girl.So then the teacher says everyone sit down class is about to begin!!!!So he went threw class thinking about that embarrassing moment and he couldn't stop thinking about that girl either. So once the period was over so he went to lunch but he had butterfly's in his stomach because he was the new kid and the worst part about being the new kid is trying to find a spot at lunch. Then he see's the girl sitting all by her self then he said in his head man up and go sit by her.So he took a deep breath and started walking closer and closer and just inches away he says is anyone sitting here. The girl says no, Zen then sits down. But then he starts getting nervous saying in his head what should I say to her O! then it pops in is head and says you have pretty then he pauses and forgets what he was about to say. Then she just gets up and walks away then Zen puts his hand over his four head and pounds the table while saying stupid stupid stupid. So in the end of the book Zen trys to fake a trick to impress the girl of his dreams. This book was so-so.I would recommend this book to people that trys so hard to get something you really want.
