Golly geeze, that was violent! Now I feel bad for recommending this book to a 10 year old at the library. Whoops....
This was a great companion book to Ship Breaker, albiet much more visceral and violent. Tool is such a badass character. Also, you really get a feel for the grittiness of the world, which, sadly, seems like it could be a plausible future if we don't get our asses in gear!

The mother actually approached me and asked if the book is appropriate for her son, since he is only 10 and the book is shelved in Young Adult. I told her I was only a few chapters in and it was "gritty." She kind of nodded and let it slide. I can only imagine what's going through that kids brain as he's reading it right now. I mean, when I was 10 I had already seen Predator and Alien. This shouldn't affect his life too much....
