it was amazing
bookshelves: biography-autobiography-memoir, read-in-2011
Read from December 14 to 17, 2011

The best biography I've read since Keith Richards' book. Very well ghost-written and focused more on Belafonte's work in the civil rights movement in the US and Africa.

I would like to bitch about the autobiography cliche of discussing previous marriages by starting with the cliche, "Well, I'm not that easy to live with, but..." and then blah blah blah about the wrongs committed by ex-wife. Repeat for every wife, minus the current one. I suppose the alternative is to not discuss it at all, and maybe that's the preferable one, especially in a book this size that doesn't need any more length.
