Tess Jennings, an event manager, has a secret. She can see and talk to ghosts. As a child, she “died” in a terrible car accident but was revived and now possesses this remarkable gift. Tess tries to ignore these spirits and live a normal life but when she is contacted by a sexy dead cop who wants her help in solving his murder and a 5 year old crime, what’s a girl to do?

Kipp McGowen died trying to solve a young woman’s murder. When he realizes that Tess can actually see and hear him, he harasses her in the most delectable ways into contacting his old partner and revealing some clues he found before he died.

Tess realizes that Kipp needs her help to cross over and sets out with him and his partner to discover who killed Kipp and the young woman. The only problem? She is falling in love with her ghost and helping him may cause her to lose him forever.

I actually read Supernaturally Kissed when it was first released under another title. Loved it then and loved it now. A snarky, fun, well plotted mystery with some smokin’ hot paranormal romance between a girl and her ghost. Fast pacing with a well plotted storyline makes this an enjoyable read. I like the premise of a crime solving duo made up of a ghost and a medium. Our heroine, Tess Jennings, is a hilarious. Sweet, funny, and more then able to handle her own. Her blond happy girl next door persona hides a strong woman with a huge heart and shoe fetish. I loved her external and internal dialogue. She reacts and deals with things realistically but listening to her rationalize it is hilarious. She really has some of the best lines in here. She doesn’t want to help Kipp at first and her reasons made sense. She can’t help every single spirit that comes to her. She wants him to “go into the light” or where ever and leave her alone. But as she gets to know him and hear his story-she sets side her own misgivings and jumps in head first.

Kipp McGowen is one hunky ghost. Sexy, funny, and talks just dirty enough to have you wanting some extra paranormal visitors yourself. You can’t help but feel for him as he was murdered in the prime of his life and feels that maybe he’s still around to make up for the bad things he did while alive. He admits to being a player but Tess can see that it was his love and commitment to the job that made him a bad candidate for relationships. He’s very determined and once he puts his mind to something, there is no turning back. I loved how he uses every trick in the book at first get Tess to acknowledge him then convince her to help him. One scene has him describing every naughty thing he wants to do to her while she’s on a double date with her best friend. Since only she can see him, her friend keeps asking her if she’s alright and why does she look like she’s about to hump the bar stool. You’ll be howling as you watch her and Kipp fuss and flirt their way through out the story.

The romance that blooms between Kipp and Tess is both sweet and spicy. Tess goes from lusting after a very sexy well built ghost to falling in love with a kind hearted incredibly heartfelt young man. She stops seeing him as a ghost and that part is both enchanting and sad. They know they can’t have a future yet it doesn’t stop the yearning they both feel.

Kip’s partner and friends add depth and more hilarity to the story from their first meeting with Tess and questioning her sanity to becoming close enough to her to admit that solving crimes gives them ‘stiffys’. Can you guess where her eyes went? Yup. I enjoyed the banter between Kipp and his partner Nick. Even though Kipp is dead, once Nick believes Tess, it’s like Kipp never left.

“Can I close the door?”
“Huh? And your asking my permission because?”
He rolled his eyes. “Has Kipp come into the room?”
I laughed. He worried about something irrelevant. “You do realize he can walk through the door. He doesn’t need you to open if for him.”
Zach’s jaw clenched. “I’m not making Kipp walk through the door.”

The ending is action packed and a bit nerve racking as the murderer outwits them all. The main conflict resolves itself perfectly and leaves just enough open so we have no doubts we will be seeing Tess and Kip in the future. I look forward to reading more about this crazy couple and their supernatural adventures.
