This was surprisingly good: funny at times and genuinely moving. The struggle between the dark side and the Jedi is much more compelling, morally, than in most of the Star Wars novels. This is the first book I've read in which Yoda is a significant character, and I think he's depicted pretty well.

I want to express my dissatisfaction, though, with the droid Fidelis, who said (p. 119):
"Are you sure? We could make it best nine hundred sixty-seven thousand four hundred and thirteen games out of one point nine million thirty-four thousand eight hundred and twenty-four." A droid should have given the correct figure: "...out of one point nine million thirty-four thousand eight hundred and twenty-five."
