Sometimes, I wonder why I keep reading Stuart Woods. It is obvious he is losing his originality and his suspenseful interest. Some of his storylines are either rehashed or just plain silly (refer to my Son of Stone review). DC Dead improves some, yet not enough to lend my full support. Stone and Dino are summoned by President Will Lee to investigate the death of his closest advisor. It becomes to be a murder, and there is a long line of suspects, basically "beautiful" women that are easy in the sack to both Stone and Dino. Thankfully, the culprit is not as predictable as it may seem, and for once, Stone and Dino ultimately fail in purely solving the case. A second storyline arises, which to me is more effective, is the return of Teddy Fay, who is thrust back into the spotlight. Although Teddy and Stone's path do not cross, they certainly will. This alone probably added a star.
