Misha's review
I just got teary on the bus finishing this. He incorporates pieces of an essay he wrote for the New Yorker on his father that floored me at the time, and still does--although i think that single piece is more powerful. The book overall is about Martin's struggle as a stand-up comic, his creative exploration in "new comedy." It made me want to grab one of our records from the garage and listen to it--maybe I'll drag the record player back in soon so I can.
