Me, Jane tells the story of famous primatologist, Jane Goodall's childhood. Watercolor paintings with delicate pen and ink outlines display the smallness of young Jane and her beloved stuffed monkey against the verdant backdrop of outdoor landscapes, reflecting the immense possibilities provided by the world around them. Words are displayed as a worn, serifed font overlaid with stamps to create nostalgic texture. The most outstanding aspect of Jane's story is that her childlike love for the world was sustained throughout the work of her adult years. Therefore, this particular format for Jane Goodall's biography suitably reflects the merits of her integrity and offers children, alongside their guardians and teachers, the opportunity to revel in the importance of youthful inquiry. Heartwarming and inspirational, Me, Jane is an exceptional book to share with any child.
