So I never thought I'd sit down and read 396 pages about Eritrea, but I did, and what's more I even enjoyed it. Excellent look at African history - Italian colonalists, forgotten World War II battles, rebel fighters, and then awful government and constant war with Eithopia. Also interesting bits about how colonalism and then constant fighting shape 'national character' or whatnot. Good read.
