I bought the ebook of this title because it was cheap. Cheap is not always good. This is a first effort from Chris Culver and it reads like something written by a middle school student.

The book starts out simply enough and then makes a leap into the fantastic. A simple detective is up to his armpits in badly written biological warfare and vampire wannabes. There was no transition from the initial character development and it leaves one wondering 'Ok, what did I miss? How did we get from point A to point Q all of the sudden?'

Culver says in the closing of this book that he has other stories in mind for Ash(the main character), I just hope he takes the time to plot the stories out a little better so that you don't have the feeling of 'what did I miss?'.
