I adore this book! Its My first Kresley Cole book, and definitely not my last.
It was everything i would like in a book-conflict,romance,comedy and the growth of the character.
Emmaline Troy is an Innocent Half Vampire, Half Valkyrie who is suddenly made Lachlain MacRieve, a Lykae's(werewolf)Mate.
I loved the development of the characters-How Emmaline grows from a timid and shy girl to a Headstrong and badass (yet still kinda shy)woman. Lachlain is discusted to find that she is a Vampire-unaware of her other half. So he is Rude and crude to her, also unaware that she is an innocent virgin who hasn't even had her first kiss until she met him.
Kresley Cole is a fantastic writer, i was drawn into the story from the first sentence, and could barely but it down-relucant to even eat my food, because i was so enclosed in the world of Lachlain and Emmaline.
Lachlain and Emmalines relationship begins off rocky, yet it becomes such a strongly bound and loving relationship- that Emmaline would choose him, and fight for him above all.
The Leading Man
Lachlain is possessive, scottish and in my head-JUST PLAIN YUM! I actually loved him! In the beginning i didn't like how he treated Emmaline, whom is terrifed because she has just been taken from a public street, he is like i said rude-and sometimes unindentially cruel. Yet, he changes, realising his mistakes and wanting to make her happy.
The Leading Lady
Emmaline such a sweetheart-So shy and timid,yearning for a place to belong(she dosent fee she belongs with the Valkire,as much as she loves them)then breaks out of her shell. She is so strong even when she isn't.
I adore her.She was just so appealing-loving and caring to Lachlain, even when he is in a foul mood.
I dont know if its just me but does anyone else think its incredibly sexy when Lachlain gets jealous and protective, cause i was like 'Oh, My, God!' HE is just hot-and being Scottish is a definite Bonus.
Reccomend to fans of possessive, scottish and Seriously hot Male leads, Vampires,Lycans, Romance Aswell as Great story and Character devlopment.
