it was amazing
bookshelves: sf-and-fantasy, favorites
Recommended for: Fans of supernatural thrillers especially Ben Aaronovitch, Jim Butcher. and Gail Carriger.
Read from January 09 to 14, 2012 , read count: 1

A fast paced, original and endlessly inventive supernatural thriller which is constantly surprising, incessantly exciting and extremely amusing. I loved this book and all the wonderful characters we are introduced to and the chaotic world they live in. Bring on book 2!

Quotes Penelope Liked

Daniel O'Malley
“This should be a pleasant little interview. All I have to do is put on my scary face."
"You have a scary face?" Ingrid sounded skeptical.
"Yes," said Myfanwy indignantly. "I have a very scary face."
Ingrid surveyed her for a moment. "You may wish to take off the cardigan then, Rook Thomas," she advised tactfully. "The flowers on the pocket detract somewhat from your menace.”
