** spoiler alert ** I gave this book a 3 Star rating. I loved her book "gods of alabama'. The Girl Who Stopped Swimming did grab my attention from page 1 towards the last two chapers of the movel. Ms. Jackson has a way to keep you enthralled into her story line, yet I felt this book was lacking the sparkle she has shown in her previous works. The Girl Who Stop Swimming reminded me of a daytime soap opera clashing with a late night original Lifetime Movie. Towards the end of the book I could not find the story line plausible. However, those who have been victims of childhood sexual molestation could relate to the feelings one feel. Especially those who had a mother who knew about it but never did anything to protect their daughters or even showed rage against it. An interesting book, the dialogue is entertaining, yet not Ms. Jackson's best work.
