** spoiler alert ** Didn't really care for this story until the happy ending, (which for me was too little, too late). Loved Brants character, very strong, honorable, and compassionate. I could feel the depth of his feelings for Mimi throughout the book, and actually felt sorry for him, because I did not feel hers until the end. The part that bothered me the most was his telling her of his feelings, and then her closing the door on him (in such a hurtful way), and letting him go back to Afghanistan for 5 months suffering with that, without even a letter..all while she goes back to his house to renovate it, like it's the most natural thing in the world..ugh! I thought he deserved so much more
