I started this book more than a week ago... it's not a big book. But it's not been easy for me to get through. Not because it's a hard topic... but it's boring. Incredibly, intensely, amazingly boring. I'm 100+ pages in and the only thing that has really happened is that Snow in Summer's (yeah... that's her name!) dad got married. In 100 pages. That's it. There wasn't even a build up to that. I'll probably finish this book... but so far I'm not enjoying it at all!

Update: Have you ever known someone who rambled when they told a story? They throw out bits and pieces that are interesting every now and again, but for the most part, they just kind of go on and on. And by the time they reach the end of the story... you just don't care any more. This is how I felt about this book. Lots of repetitive rambling on and on and not enough detail that really seemed to matter.

I usually like the retelling of fairy tales... but this one wasn't any good till about the last 50 pages or so.
