The descriptions of the Middle East are beautiful. It made me want to visit! The book covers a classic struggle of self awareness and also finding a place called "home". Another issue that was brought up was the hardship of keeping traditions and culture alive but also moving towards progress. Respect and honor is a tradition that seems to be dissolving in our ever changing world...
