** spoiler alert ** Len is in the military. Cathy lost her husband a month ago. Kelly and Nick are traveling with a newborn. Matt is a salesman with a computer company. Elise is a single mom traveling with her daughter Kate.

All of the people above are in a train, loaded with passengers who have been redirected from the snowed in airport of Bangor, Maine, on Christmas Eve day, heading for Boston in hope of making connections to take them to their ultimate holiday destinations. The anxiety and frustration is very high. When the train stops in New Hampshire because of a problem up ahead with the tracks, frustration escalates, tempers flare, a baby screams, Kate asks incessantly if Santa will find her...

A wonderful Christmas story presenting a coming together of strangers who through their shared trial form a familial bond that eventually gets them through the trial at hand.
