My opinion: This book is trash. It is offensive because it is a cheat: It peddles snake oil as wisdom.

To save you a lot of time, I will tell you the messages from the five people --- well, three of them because two don't really give any message: (1) We are all connected (the blue man). (2) We all must sacrifice (the captain). (3) Remembered love is still love (Marguerite). Isn't that nice.

The other two people have nothing much to say (Dad and the burned girl). They're there to provide the opportunity for some sappy ritual cleansing.

What I wrote above is the entirety of the book's useless message.
