Read from December 15 to 18, 2011

NetGalley kindly sent this uncorrected proof of this book.

This is the story of Lauren Lawton and her struggle to find her eldest daughter Lesley who has been missing for the last four years.

Since Lesley disappearance, the Lawton's family sufferance never ended, on the contrary. Lauren's husband wasn't able to cope with the lost of his dearest daughter and decided to end his life in a car accident.

In order to make a change in scenery, Lauren and her younger daughter Leah decided to move from Santa Barbara to the small city of Oak Knoll. By coincidence, Lauren meets Roland Ballencoa, the man who is responsible for Lesley disappearance. She starts then to pursuit the man who abducted Lesley.

Her madness is closed watched by Detective Tony Mendez who was the only policeman able to understand the real situation and Lauren's search for justice to her missing daughter.

This book is a page-turner and we must hold our breath in order to follow the increasing drama through the story.

Even if this my first book read by Tomi Hoag, I'm planning to read more books by this author.

Lance Greenfield Mitchell I have only read Ashes to Ashes by this author, but have always meant to get around to reading some more. Your great review, Laura, has boosted my motivation to do so.

Oh, I do wish I had more time in my life to read, read, read!
