The prose and poetry of this particular translation of the scriptures is so often magnificent, it is a story in itself. The very fact that an English translation was authorized and effected is a story in itself. The influence of this translation is a story felt even unto the present day. So combine all these things into a fascinating narrative and you have this book.
[To add my own two cents, many words and phrasings have changed or become archaic since 1611, so it is often disconcerting to hear people in the modern age quoting the words of the KJV with either ludicrous or completely erroneous effect.]
