Jack Kennedy: Elusive Hero
by Chris Matthews
by Chris Matthews
Chris Matthews makes his living giving his opinion so it is natural for him to offer it quote a bit throughout this book. I had a hard time with the beginning chapters because Matthews includes himself quite a bit and quite distracting...my advice is barrel through the first 3 chapters, it is worth it.
After reading Nassir Ghamei's A First Rate Madness, which profiles JFK and others, I was very interested in the human side of JFK that this book delivers. I am slowly finding myself more and more fascinated with Jack & Bobby Kennedy due to the stories offered in this text.
I highly recommend this book. Matthews has done an excellent job of tracking down the persons that knew JFK intimately and allowing their stories fill the pages.
