LONG....
This book was very difficult for me to read. The way of life of the the upper class in 14th century England was brutal. It truly was the dark ages as there was very little light to be found anywhere. I came away feeling so sorry for the people of those times. Their lives were filled with treachery, infidelity because of arranged marriages with no love, murder and constant fighting over who should have the power... and so was the book. It was very well written and informative, but I'm not sure I want to know any more. King Richard 111 was portrayed as a good person. I would like to think that her discoveries, differing from others, are true. Not for the faint in heart, oh wait I think that would describe...me. That's why I gave it 3 stars.
