Very imaginative and creative, but the narration was irritating. The reading of Mrs. Who made me cringe every time the character entered the story and it detracted from the plot. Certain themes that the author introduced I found interesting and some seemed too forced. I loved the idea of the planet the father was trapped on as being one where there was no independence of thought or individuality. To me, that is a more frightening thought than a novel based on violence and shock factor. The whole religous aspect of the book, however, seemed a bit forced and cheesey. The mental picture of Jesus going of into space to battle the dark force was a bit weird, but somtimes I take things a little too literal. I enjoyed the book, but I have heard so many people name A Wrinkle in Time as a book that shaped their childhood so I expected more.
