Erin This was on my short list of possible books to get you. I really enjoyed this one and how I painlessly learned all about Hemmingway too. I had read The Sun Also Rises, and this book made that more interesting as well. It seems like so many men are different with their first marriages and yet end up being a little nostalgic about it later on.

Lisa Nelson Do you ever have a hard time shaking a book off after you read it? I can't get this book out of my head, I think in a good way. I thought Hadley was a really interesting character and for her good and not so great characteristics I really recognized myself in her in a lot of ways. (Okay, not all the drinking.) The end was so interesting with that last phone call from Ernest. I ended up in tears over those two. I think you are right about men and first marriages. I'll have to remind Andy of that! I definitely want to read The Sun Also Rises, and his other one about their years in Paris.
