WARNING! POSSIBLE SPOILER! Wow. That was an incredible book. I honestly didn't quite see the end coming, though I had many suspicions. There were a lot of complex and common themes here, most noticeably some from The Giver, and some Hunger Games-like threads. I was also reminded of Freedomland by Anne Bean I can hardly wait till the final book is released, but at least this one doesn't end on a cliffhanger! The end of this book really reminds me of the movie The Village, if that movie hadn't been awful, in that the whole thing was an attempt to save humanity by isolating a portion of it. I had no idea that was where the story was headed, though, until it happened. I was thinking that there would be aliens (ok, so not really) our nuclear wastelands or something. Very wonderful story, Ms. Roth has some serious talent!
