At times I was like, "Jeannette, I love you, but you're no Philip Pullman." Sometimes corny.

But by the end I was like, "OK, this is beautiful." She's terrific. VERY watered down, style-wise, let's just call it Extremely YA.

It also manages to explore lots of rad ideas about science, time, and love. I enjoyed it. (Maybe you'd dig it too, John Son?)
