Being in need of cheering up recently I reached for P. G. Wodehouse. The Inimitable Jeeves was the second collection of short stories featuring Bertie Wooster and his remarkable valet Jeeves, and it certainly did the trick. The stories are loosely connected and most involve the love affairs of Bertie’s friend Bingo Little. No man has ever fallen in love quite so frequently as young Bingo. Or quite so disastrously. Wodehouse is always a delight and these tales are no exception.
