I felt really so-so about this book. It was an interesting idea but it felt very uneven. The sex scenes were far out of tone of the mild, almost blandness of the book and stood out in a bad way. It's almost like the author wanted to write something more erotic/romance but mellowed everything out instead, leaving the jarring differences.

Also, I felt it started off interesting but just kinda got stuck in the mud shortly into it and sorta stayed there. It all felt very filler. Both Simon and Lily were annoying in their own ways (Simon kinda petulant and Lily too weak for being a terrifying assassin) and their "instant, mutual lust" just didn't work for me.

I don't know. It's one of those books on the surface seems great but the meat just isn't there.
