OMG, I did NOT want this book to end! I think this was hands down my favorite book in months. Please excuse me while I jump up and down and bury my face in a pillow and scream. AGAIN! LOL.
Where to start? Hmmm, this book had me grinning like a fool pretty much the entire time... well, when I wasn't ready to punch out a wall (not a bad thing though). This book had me sucked in. I laughed; I really got into the heated banter; and there were even a few parts that I cried because I felt my heart was yanked out of my chest.
The first chapter and the first scene with Daemon had me laughing so hard. Maybe I'm crazy, but I knew I was going to love with Daemon right then and there. Sweethearts have their time and place, but sometimes I like it when a guy picks on a girl because he likes her - even though he didn't like her at the time, his buttheadedness had a sort of charm to it. Call it juvenile, but I knew I was going to like the book if it was going to be full of this type of banter. "Make an effort," Mom had said. That's what happens when you make an effort. I was hooked.
The only complaint I had was that it was halfway through the book that we learned Daemon and Dee were aliens. But it's okay because the summary told us right off the bat, so it wasn't a matter of finding out what they were rather than just anticipating WHEN we were supposed to know. I thought the concept of aliens was pretty cool, and I liked the theory around the concept. I'm not sure how original it is because it's not everyday that I read about aliens, but I personally thought it was different. And Armentrout does a good job explaining their world without overloading us on details.
Like I said, I can't believe this book is over. And of course it had to go out with another bickering session, but not one that doesn't give us hope. Sigh. Swoon. Eeeek! Can March come any sooner?!?
P.S. I was looking through Armentrout's list of books, and I noticed this series had a Daemon and her Covenant series had a Daimon. She must really like the name. I hope that series is just as good.

It's been on my to read list since I got my hands on it, but it was really Celeste's and Roxanne's postings and comments that made me get on it right away. They both gave five stars too. I don't think you'll be disappointed, but it's DEFINITELY worth reading if you're into the whole bantering thing.
this book was just plain AMAZING!!!! i love it and can't wait for the next series. i was also jumping up and down and laughing at random times while my neighbors looked at me weirdly since i read part of it outside.
Glad you enjoyed it too ;)The only "negative" thing if It even exists!! was the abrupt end.I was what the hell it's already the end!! But I loved the 2 additional chapters from Daemon point of view they calmed me a little bit ;) and we discover that he was not really a jerk.
Ahhh!!! Damn your profile picture with your Smolder-Hotter boy!!! The whole time, I was picturing him with piercing green eyes. LOL!
