it was amazing
Read from December 28, 2011 to January 04, 2012

Wow - this was really hard to put down! King is an amazing storyteller and this didn't have any horror (other than the horror of the real world, which can be terrifying at times!) or supernatural elements (except that of time travel - a pretty common supernatural device). It was a great story and really made me think about a lot of things I would like to change in the past, both globally and personally. I found it engrossing and fascinating and the love story part of it was really well done. The ending was good--I wish it were somehow a bit more surprising--but it was satisfying. And it it kept me guessing about how the changes that the main character (Jake/George) made in the past would play out. Perhaps King should have spent a little more time with the ending--the book was so detailed throughout that it seemed perhaps a bit rushed at the end. But really, it was thought-provoking, imaginative, very well written and an amazing read.
