Lindsay Mc allister, an ex-police officer was obsessed for a serial killer that had been murdered more than 20 former beauty queens. It became very personal to Mc Allister since she is in love with one of the victim's ex husband, Judd Walker .. well "in love" its not enough. she was crazy for him, and willing to do everything just to win Walker's heart.. though "heart" probably something that is not exist in this man.

Beverly Borton always a little bit cruel in my opinion, but it's good for her. As a writer She really knew how to make her readers get involved emotionally.. i feel sooooo bad, and extremely dissapointed when she cruelly "killed" a character that was a good mother and wife and also a cancer survivor. How could she do that ??!!?

i don't really into Lindsay and Judd relationship, cause i think it was quite boring :D and Barton decribe Lindsay character inconsistently. First it is mentioned that Lindsay is good in martial art and a tough girl but she's got hitted/attacked easily by Judd several times. One that's good in martial arts shouldn't be so weak and had a bad reflexes like her. Makes me wonder was she enjoying it? *&%$!.

But who cares anyway this books still can chill me out and it is pretty much success to make me curios about the sequel "The Murder Game"

So good work for Barton !
