Prayed for a different ending :(
When will I learn that time travel romance does not work *weeps*

I actually read this in 2012 and totally forgot to write a review *DOH* apologies.

Kissing Shakespeare is a fun romp through the time period Shakespeare would have been starting to make his mark on he world of theatre. Rather than concentrating on one particular Shakespeare play to re-imagine, Kissing Shakespeare instead portrays the reoccurring themes through Shakespeare's plays in a whimsical fashion. Although I would say The Taming of the Shrew would contain the most tropes portrayed here.

I love a good time travel romance but have deducted overall points on this occasion because it didn't play out the way my heart wanted it to *weeps* However, the narrative provides invaluable insight into the lifestyle of the period portrayed.

I loved the portrayal of Shakespeare as a horndog in this instance and can't help but think it could well have been the basis for the TV series Will.
