Riveting, engaging story of a brilliant teenage boy from the Washington DC slums that puts you in the scenes right with him.
I picked this one up again since I'll be doing a book discussion next month--I'm still finding it to be very good. I have to read in small amounts because this book so clearly points out the terrible state of education in poor neigborhoods in the US.
