I'm glad that I read Henry Rollins piece in the LA Weekly where he recommended this book. The short chapters and large print makes this book easy to read. The pictures transport you to back in time to the birth of punk music. The material is fascinating and it is told in a compelling manner. The author puts you into the scene, you see and feel what she does. She knew people before they became famous. Like how she befriended Belinda Carlisle. As an Angelino I have intimate knowledge of many of the cities and locations that these events took place in. And the next time I visit them I will think of Alice and her adventures.
