I do love your one-star reviews. I'll resist the temptation to link you to Gilgamesh/Enkidu slash as a thank-you present.

aw, I was sort of looking forward to this. I'm still on the lookout for a big epic fantasy I'll actually like...
Yeah, and it was ok and i'm looking forward to the sequel, but it's not generating any need to go speculate and analyze and so on. (Shadows of the Apt does, but conversation always seems to be rather thin about it. I should start a "Who's your favorite character thread for it or something.)
I need to read it. Generally speaking it just doesnt have enough readers yet. I have a sneaking suspicion that being PYR published is holding it back in that regard. Big-6 advertising behind it would do a lot toward pushing it into the WOT, ASOIF, etc. awareness. SHADOWS OF THE APT, I mean.
I wanted to like Dragon's Path (I loved The Long Price Quartet), but I got about three chapters in and just had no will to read further. I keep hoping I'll like it when I try it again.
I have a copy of Empire in Black and Gold sitting right here, as it happens! But first I have to finish battling Deathless.
The middle of Deathless beat me up too. But I liked it quite a bit. Read Shadows, Id like to discuss it more too
