An absolute great ending to an excellent series (4.5 stars). In the world that is Kristen Ashley (Colorado Mountain Series) The Burg series (For You, At Peace, and Golden Trail) does not disappoint. Just didn't want to leave the Burg after Golden Trail (big sigh!) Tough to let go of sexy Alec Colton, big Joe Callahan, smooth Tanner Layne and the great cast of characters. Different from the Colorado Mountain series, the side characters in The Burg are all intertwined and have a much more involved presence in each book, are important to each story and are almost as loveable as the h/h. Each book in this series steps up the suspense with its creepy villain. Each books h/h have a rough spot at the beginning but things heat up pretty quick. Golden Trail has a nice balance. I was equally invested in both the suspense and the love story. KA immerses the reader from the get go and an each bk is hard to put down. Golden Trail's Layne and Rocky are just as much a favorite as the others in this series. Although Tate/Laurie (Sweet Dreams) are my number one fav's, the other couples here offer just the same amount of tough, badass, hot alpha male and sexy, sassy heroine. Love the teenagers from this series; they're endearing and very well written. The epilogue for Golden Trail is one of the best I've read and lengthy enough to give you a nice long look ahead at what happens down the road to my favorite characters living in the burg.

Kristen Ashley’s books wrap me up in a way that I don’t want to let go of after the last page is read. Hoping Joe's cousin Benny and Francesca (At Peace) get to tell their story at some point.
