The Hunger Games (Hunger Games, #1)
by Suzanne Collins, Carolyn McCormick
by Suzanne Collins, Carolyn McCormick
This was one of those books where you read a little, then you set it on your kitchen table and walk away. Then every time you walk by it, you think, "I need to read just a little more." So you sit down to read again and again and again. And then before you know it, your supper is burning because you are so absorbed by this book.
I thought Suzanne Collins wove a great story and created characters that I really cared about. Because of the setting of the book, each character's actions and motivations kept me guessing, even to the very end. This was a really fun read.
I should mention that when I was checking this out of the library, the librarian asked me if I knew what I'd be reading and warned me that she found the book gruesome. I thought it was no worse than a Stephen King novel. Just FYI.
