Stefanie gave me this book to read as Meredith Hall teaches at the University of New Hampshire and promoted the book in the Durham area. It was very interesting, sad, and unbelievable! She gets pregnant at the age of 16 and her life turns upside down as everyone rejects her, including her parents. It starts in the mid sixties and goes to the present. She survives her turbulent life, goes to college around the age of 40, marries, has two sons, and reunites with the son she gave birth to at age 16. She also makes peace with her feelings toward her unrepentent parents in a way that makes me question whether or not I would have been able to. It is a very good read.
