it was ok
bookshelves: historical, novella
Read from December 01 to 02, 2011

In the words of the Goodreads stars..this was "ok"

Felt like one big set up for future books maybe...I don't know. The romance was rushed...and there is a lot of time spent in the beginning setting up Lady Augustine's evil father and missing brother - and not really any resolution to it all. The story just didn't feel complete or wrapped up.

Jo (My House of Books) And the initial novel moves forward 20 years! I'm disappointed these characters won't reappear (or I don't believe they'll appear in the next book).

Mandi Schreiner srsly?? 20 years???

I don't understand the point of this book.

Jo (My House of Books) It's like the Anne Stuart prequel for her House of Rohan series. All to set things up, but the actual novels jump ahead. Frustrating.

But man, I love these covers.
